EPF - 2011 Dividend Only 6%

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) declared yesterday 6 per cent dividend, its highest in a decade after making profits of RM27.24 billion last year. 10 year back the dividend is higher around 8% so it mean that Malaysia EPF fund had been manage inefficiently.

If the 1st Account money can be invest fully in blue chip by us I think sure my dividend will more than 8%.

EPF Only Declares 5.8% Dividend!

It is very disappointed after a high grow of GDP and bull run in share market at year 2010 plus a lot of news said the EPF earn how mach money but at the end the EPF only declares 5.8% dividend not even 6%. Base on history back 10 year the EPF dividend is around 8% now below 6% so it really show that Malaysia economic is in bad condition.

News and data can be made but dividend can not. Invest into Gold is mach more better in EPF.

Again EPF Loan Out RM5bn, This Time Is Prokhas!?

A government agency which is administrating two schemes under the first economic stimulus package is in talks with the employees’ pension fund for a RM5 billion, a business daily said.

The Malaysian Reserve, citing an unidentifed source today, said the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) was ready to fund the loan at an undisclosed rate to Prokhas, the government-owned special purpose vehicle.

The source added that Prokhas was also looking at other financing options including government bonds, private debt securities or a term loan that may give more competitive rates.

Malaysia announced its first stimulus package of RM60 billion in March to shore up the export-reliant economy against the global economic crisis.

Prokhas manages two schemes under the package and was allocated 5 billion ringgit each, known as Working Capital Guarantee Scheme and the Industry Restructuring Loan Scheme, which is under the Ministry of Finance.

vs EPF

EPF’s talks with Prokhas may draw some criticism, as loans to government agencies and corporations have in the past been called bailouts for poorly performing local companies by critics and the resurgent opposition.

In 2008, the government said it would transfer RM5 billion from the EPF to state owned fundmanager Valuecap to be invested in undervalued Malaysian stocks.

Finally EPF give out 4.5 per cent dividend for its members

Finally EPF give out 4.5 per cent dividend for its members and blamed the lower rate of returns on the global financial crisis. The state pension fund had declared 5.8 per cent in 2007 when it just earned RM18.29 billion. In 2008, its gross income jumped 9.36 per cent for EPF to record its highest ever earnings of RM20 billion but we only get 4.5%.

Vary likely EPF fund have been use by government to benefit some people, get any profit they will have 1st when come to down turn EPF need to buy their useless share and we will pay the loss. I think with this dividend, I can get more in my share investment profile and if I buy gold ever months with the amount of money to EPF, I sure can get better that this.

Anyway, we only can writen in blog, thing never change EPF money we still need to paid. We vote a new goverment but they can use ours money to paid them to jump cross over.

EPF Dividend Will Be Lower

http://moneymuseum.bnm.gov.my/images/coins/commemorative.RM250_EPF_25th_anniversary_coin.M.jpg
In a few weeks, the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will declare its returns to members and need to forgot the dividend to be 5.8% or more.

The reason is the fund's inherent asset allocation structure, which provides that almost 70% of the funds be channeled into low risk investment such as government securities or highly rated private bonds. The yields of these instruments are low compared to return from investments such as equities.

The year has been tough for the equities market. In such a situation, EPF dividend likely to be less than 5% for this year.

Investment Idea

My investment with RM5,000 initial capital have been growing since 2005.I found the stock market appears confusing and complicated, but it is most definitely based on logic "supply and demand". However, the laws of supply and demand as observed in the markets do not behave as one would expect. To be an effective trader, there is a great need to understand how supply and demand can be interpreted under different market conditions and how to take advantage of this Off Market Transactions in KLSE.
